Review: Chicken Lovers Restaurant in Queens, New York

Review of the Chicken Lovers Restaurant in Queens, New York.

I can't explain to you how many years I have passed this restaurant always noticing its bright red awning and never even crossing my mind to check this restaurant out. But a few months ago, I went to this restaurant with a friend and it was the best discovery I had made this year. There is a parking lot in front of the restaurant shared with a few other stores meaning there is limited space, so be prepared to go around the block a couple times to find parking. Luckily, there was an open spot right in front of the restaurant for us. Going inside the restaurant, my first reactions were that this place had a cozy, family-styled environment. There were also a large grill there with a group of chickens and ribs grilling away, so you know the food is freshly grilled. A lady at the register who clearly runs the place is always there, and I notice her smiling every time I'm there. She happily takes our order, which every time for me is the 1/4 rack of ribs with two sides. The price comes out to about $10.00, drink included. The selection of home-made sides is fairly large, ranging from rice, mac and cheese, grilled potatoes, mashed potatoes, baked beans, a variety of salads and many more. The ribs are succulent, tasty, juicy and full of flavor. The portions that they give you are enormous and I often find myself taking a tray of food home all the time. The lady often gives you food that are on the house, it's clear that she cares for her customers and tries her best to make a middle-ground between her and her patrons. Last time I visited this restaurant, she noticed that one of my friends weren't eating, so she brought over a little plate of chicken for my friend on the house. You can instantly tell that this lady is there to make people happy, as she is genuinely interested in peoples opinions of her food. The family-oriented restaurant won't fail to please your taste buds or your wallets. This is one restaurant that every person in Queens has to check out.

The portion of food here is fantastic for the price you pay. (About 10.00 per person for a platter.)

The restaurant staff is very friendly.

The owner genuinely cares for her patrons.

This restaurant is located at 215-09 Northern Blvd, Bayside, NY 11361.
