Yes, registration is a requirement if you want to make any purchases from the New York Times Store.  It doesn't cost anything to sign-up and the advantages of having an account are that you can manage and track your orders.  If you already have an e-mail/account linked to the NY Times news site, you will still need to register with the store site separately. more

Thanks for the answer Kimberley. We have been to the Statue of Liberty a number of times and always enjoy the visit. It's a great landmark to see. We usually take the boat over to the Statue of Liberty from Liberty Park in Jersey City, New Jersey. Next time we go, I'll check the prices for Statue of Liberty tickets from BestofNewYork to see if we can get a deal from them. more

Thanks for the answer Brenda. We have taken the Circle Line cruises around Manhattan Island many times. One of the local papers used to run contests for free Circle Line tickets, and they always carried discounted ads for the boat rides. The paper is going broke though, so they don't do contests or offer discounts anymore. Next time we take a Circle Line cruise I'll check out BestofNewYork and s... more

Thanks William. I have seen New York Times headlines from famous days in the past framed and hanging up in a local restaurant we frequent. I guess the New York Times Online Store is where they get them. They are all pretty cool. They have the sinking of the Titanic headline, as well as the end of WW II one, and my personal favorite which is the 1969 moon landing headline. more
